The accounting system provides for any rent amount to be entered.

Prorated rent will not be recorded for the Rent Payment system (accounting provides for this transaction). However the system has many rules for automating features.

  1. The system assumes the rent is due on the first of the month.
  2. The system assumes the rent charge is a full months rent.

A landlord can arrange to collect a partial months rent outside of the Rent Payment system.

A landlord can post a rent receivable in the accounting for any amount they want. And this amount will appear on the Tenant Statement.

Note: In case of an eviction, a partial payment can cause legal issues. Consult your attorney.
